Omni Directional Jammer Discone Antenna 800 – 2000Mhz
The AE-JD-0820 Jammer Discone Antenna is a rugged all weather model, enclosed in an ABS radome, uses all ultra-corrosion resistant aluminium alloy does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of the omni-directional antenna allows easy handling, shipping and is highly suitable for transmitting & receiving without having the requirement of multiple antennas. The cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The jammer discone antenna is supplied complete in assembled condition. This discone antenna has smooth VSWR and constant gain over the 800-2000 MHz frequency band. The AE-JD-0820 jammer discone antenna consists of ultra-corrosion resistant radiating elements and is enclosed in ABS housing. The ABS has excellent transparency for radio signals and is mechanically robust to support extra mechanical strength to the discone antenna.
4.3-10 Connector Series
Rojone Pty Ltd introduces the new 4.3-10 Connector series. Designed for major telecom equipment manufacturers, the 4.3-10 series is small and lightweight, features high performance/low intermodulation, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Lightweight 4.3-10 connectors offer these key features and performance characteristics:
- 30% smaller and 60% lighter than the comparable 7/16 square flange jack receptacle
- RF power up to 500 W @ 2 GHz

Importantly, on the 4.3-10, electrical & mechanical reference planes are separated with the ground contact sliding. Intermodulation performance is not linked to the installation torque – the contact pressure is a function of the contact design.

Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) NSW Young Achiever Awards (YAA)
Rojone is proud to sponsor the 2015 Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) NSW Young Achiever Awards (YAA), which celebrates the achievements of young professionals working in the Australian Defence Industry. Rojone and AIDN recognise that driven and talented young people are the key to the future of the defence industry. In order to recognise individuals who may be future industry leaders, AIDN has created the AIDN Young Achiever Award and Rojone is pleased to support this important initiative.

The finalists for the 2015 NSW awards came from across the defence industry in NSW and demonstrated the talent and dedication working in this industry.
The winner was announced at the AIDN NSW 21st Anniversary Dinner held in Sydney in September and presented by Mr Steve Wearn, acting General Manager Commercial, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. The 2015 AIDN Young Achiever is Christine Chen, who works for Thales in EM/RF Engineer in the Speciality Engineering Group. The runner up was Danya Henriksen, Project Officer Maintenance Planning, Petrolink Engineering with 3rd place going to Ryan McKay, Project Engineer, Forgacs-Broens.
The winner of the NSW award will be competing for the national Young Achiever’s Award against winners from the other states. This will be announced at the AIDN National 21st Anniversary Dinner on Monday 8th February 2016 in Canberra.

Data Line Surge Protectors
Times Microwave Systems has recently introduced a new range of Data Line Surge Protectors. These products offer a unmatched level of data integrity and over-voltage protection, the LP-DOE-1G, LP-POE-1G and LP-PAE-100 Data Line surge protection devices are the newest additions to the Times-Protect® product family. Proprietary circuitry results in surge let-through voltage on data lines of less than 20V peak at 3kA 8x20uS surge test current and less than 10V peak at 100A 10x1000uS surge test current, while complying with extended RFC2544 test methods for data integrity. These extremely difficult tests are conducted on two protection devices separated by 100 meters of Cat 5e cable over a broad temperature range measuring these parameters:

Ethernet – Contactless Data & Power Transmission (NEW)
Ethernet is used as a standard interface for data transmission and SPINNER has developed a contactless coupler (also referred to as a module) that can be provided with different inner diameters.
In contrast to transmission by means of a traditional slip ring, the Ethernet module also supports Gigabit Ethernet irrespective of the dimensions, while the correct standard is detected and transmitted automatically (10 Base-T (10 Mbit/s) or Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s) or Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbit/s) – i.e. Plug and Play.
The mechanical system has been designed in such a way that one or two transmission modules can be incorporated, also in combination with the DC/DC converter described below. The converter has been designed so that more than 50 watts with 24 V output voltage are still available to the user in addition to the rotor’s own power supply.
Without requiring any adjustments, the data transmitter is fully compatible with Profinet (class A + B); a version with CAN bus (repeater mode up to 500 Kbit/s) is also available.
Our contactless power transmission system is a rotationally symmetric system for contactless transmission of electrical energy. This transmission system is used for the DC voltage supply of control systems, sensors or other consumers on rotating shafts.
The functioning of the transmission system corresponds to that of a galvanically isolated DC voltage transmitter. It keeps the output voltage nearly constant regardless of the load and over a wide input voltage range. The output has a short-circuit-proof and open-circuit-proof design. A major advantage is the presence of a hollow shaft, which means that combinations with optical single-channel or multi-channel rotary joints are possible for data transmission. This DC/DC converter meets all standards common in the industry with respect to safety, interference immunity and emitted interference.
In the radar technology sector, the trend towards installing active components directly on the antenna is continuing. The radical reduction in cabling saves weight and increases the efficiency of the system. However, ever increasing amounts of data with high transmission rates also require demanding digital data transmission solutions. For radar rotary joints, this means that traditional HF modules for the different frequency bands are replaced by diverse media couplers, power current and signal transmission paths.
Transmission amplifiers, now installed on the
rotatable part of the radar antenna, require media couplers to create a cooling circuit in order to ensure cooling. Power current is traditionally supplied by means of a slip ring. The electrical signals to and from the active antenna equipment are no longer transmitted by a contacting slip ring but via a multi-channel fiber optical rotary joint or means of a contactless

Multicouplers
ROJ-E317 – Integrated UHF Transmit/Receive Multicoupler System
The ROJ-E317 product is a high performance integrated UHF transmit/receive multi-coupler system in a single enclosure suitable for 19 inch rack mounting. The hybrid combining technology drastically reduces the size of an overall system compared to traditional cavity based and multi-section filter type systems while still maintaining high levels of performance. All loads for the combiners are included inside the equipment as well as a highly flexible, reliable and efficient DC-DC power supply.
Two simultaneous 50 W transmit signals (Tx1, Tx2) can be applied to the equipment and combined for transmission onto a single external antenna (consult Rojone for suitable antennas). The same antenna can be used to receive signals at different frequencies to the transmitted signals with the equipment coupling out four copies of the received signal (Rx1, Rx2, Rx3, Rx4).
This combined transmit/receive setup allows for easy integration with a wide range of communication systems and applications such as multichannel voice and data transmission systems, base stations and repeaters.
