HIGH POWER COAXIAL TERMINATIONS

Exclusively distributed by Rojone Pty Ltd, Radiall of France has released a new range of high power Coaxial Terminations. These products are RoHS compliant.

The wide range of termination includes different power levels from 1 to 120 Watts. This enables users to cover higher power requirements, whether in product tests or laboratories for military, commercial, instrumentation or broadcast applications.

Radiall's new range includes higher power levels such as 250 W, 400 W, 600 W and 1000 Watts. Based on microstrip construction technique, these units have 50 ohm impedance and offer low VSWR.

Rojone is proud to announce the release of our New GPS Genius USB Smart Antenna.

The Genius's USB interface facilities a one cable and connector Plug "n" Play solution. Data and power is transferred over a single USB connection. The USB interface creates a virtual standard serial port allowing you to continue using your existing software. Any applications currently using a serial port can utilize USB hardware with serial  port drivers. Drivers for windows 98 and 2000 are provided.

The USB Genius is small, high performance, 12 Channel GPS Receiver and Antenna module. Magnetically mountable and waterproof it is very simple to install and use. The module is supplied complete with three metres of cable to directly connect to the USB port on your notebook computer.

Internationally standard 4800 NMEA is the default protocol setting, with SiRF Binary also selectable making this unit uniquely compatible with 1000's of shareware programs available on the internet today.

The Genius architecture offers many other advantages such as TricklePower mode for power savings to 98%, SingleSat updates in reduced visibility, superior urban canyon performance and foliage lock for weak signal tracking making this product an excellent choice for personal or commercial application.
 

Rojone announces the release our our New DR Module "SEEKERS GPSi"  Inertial Navigation System. The Seeker GPSi GPS-inertial Navigation System was developed as a low cost, highly accurate integrated GPS/DR based navigation systems.

The SEEKER GPSi offers continuous position and heading output data regardless of speed or GPS availability features, making it particularly attractive for AVL applications. For, with AVL applications standard GPS coverage is subject to unpredictable position errors due to Urban Canyon effects. These include buildings, tunnels and foliage obstructions causing poor satellite visibility, as well as other introduced errors such as SA (selective availability) and multipath effects. Both of which are common problems.

Features:
- GPS accuracy is improved to counteract the effects of urban canyon.
- Reliable low cost inertial heading sensor, vehicle odometer and reverse indicator is used o generate an inertial position solution.
- The GPSi solution can provide a higher output density with rates up to 10 Hz.

A new catalog covering Times LMR LLPL high performance 50 Ohm plenum coaxial cables, connectors, accessories and tools has just been released. The new catalog contains complete product technical information as well as information on the requirements for use of plenum cable. Sizes are available from LMR-200-LLPL through LMR-1200-LLPL. The LMR LLPL coaxial cables are designed for indoor use in wireless systems, and can be installed anywhere inside a building. The LMR LLPL are unique in that they are the only low - loss, flexible cable that meets the Stringent plenum cable requirements.
An initial supply of the new catalogs are being sent to all reps and distributors.

Times have recently introduced the new version of the LMR-DB, the Watertight Flexible Coax LMR-DB. The new version attains the same excellent properties as the original LMR, with the addition of an inert polymeric flooding compound takes LMR to the next level in long term reliability. The Watertight flexible coax completely eliminates all paths for water migration and ingress. This magnificent device is now available in LMR-95, -200, -240, and -300 sizes, in addition to the LMR-400 through LMR-1700.

FCC Part 15 covers a number of unlicensed low power applications at specific frequencies commonly referred to as  the Industrial, Scientific, and medical (ISM) bands. These discreet frequency bands have existed for many years and range from < 50 MHz to > 50 GHz.
ISM frequencies are used for a variety of applications from Cordless phones to Bar code readers and Wireless data. Ism bands are found everywhere within the specified range. Narda has recently introduced into their already extensive range, a new series of Gas Capsule Arrestors. These arrestors are broad and are available in both N & 7/16 connector options. They have a discharge current of 20 kA & have a field - replaceable gas discharge capsule. This device has an approximate constant, low arc voltage and 10V. Spark - over voltage capsules are available depending on rating.

Continental Microwave and Tooling Company have just announced the introduction of their Dielectric Waveguide. This device is extremely phase - stable and is low in loss. It has no length limitations through to 100 GHz, is flexible with a long flex life available in both rubber and steel jackets. Interestingly, the loss from 9 ft assembly at 43 GHz, Dielectric WG 1.1dB, flexible WG (silver plated) 6.4dB, Rigid WG (OFHC) 3.2dB.

This antenna is truly an OMNI Directional Antenna, with a 3dB Beam width / H plane of 360 degrees, and E plane of 15 degrees. The EMD 24-01508-BFL has 200 watt power handling capability with an N female connector interface. Mechanically engineered for performance and durability with copper and brass radiators internally. This antenna also features a finish of a grey / white radome.

Rojone now stocks an excellent range of Tajimi RO4 Series of 2-12 contact, miniature metal body multipin connectors. Water proof (when mated) for up to 20m in depth. These connectors are an ideal choice for electronic instrumentation, or equipment used in high humidity outdoor applications. When a low price is important, and reliability is essential, the Tajimi range of connectors are an excellent range to consider.

Times Microwave have successfully adapted a traditionally military cable rigidising techniques to their LMR range of low loss coaxial cables. The device is featured with a flooding compound enabling long term resistance to moisture and humidity without sacrificing good low loss electrical performance. A great application for antenna feeds and jumper cables. The LMR 400 DB, 3/8" flexible cable is one of the most popular sizes. It carries a normal stock line at $4.27 per meter.

Stainless steel butterfly hangers are the latest addition to Times MIcrowave Systems' line of installation hardware accessories. Available for cable size LMR - 400 through LMR - 1700. They are designed to secure single runs of coax for power and roof top installation environments. The hangers are designed for long term exposure and feature integrated cable grip's to provide additional support in heavy winds and ice loading.

EMC is proud to announce the release of their new EMC Thermopad. This device offers a novel approach to temperature compensation. It provides power dissipation which varies with temperature. The attenuator is useful fro compensating the gain variation of amplifiers, mixers, and oscillators over temperature. Rate input power is 2 watts for TVA and DVTA Series and 0.2 watts for MTVA Series chips. Maximum peak input power ia 50 watts for TVA and DVTA Series and 1 watt for MTVA Aeries chips. This device is particularly beneficial in multi signal systems.

Dec 1999 -   Surface Mount Hybrid Couplers
 

Thick film quadrate hybrid 3 dB couplers offer high performance and low cost in a variety of applications including balanced amplifiers, power dividers and combiners, voltage variable PIN diode attenuators, balanced mixers & modulators, and antenna feed works. All thick film construction results in a small rugged low cost surface mountable part. Like many other EMC products, these hybrids are available on tape and reel for automated assembly.

The 8846 and 8848 Series are the latest in the Nardalert family of RF personal monitors. Their shaped frequency response is designed to closely conform to four major standards. They accurately detect all types of electrical fields from 300kHz to 3GHZ to 45GHz. The patented diode design is used for the lower frequencies. Porodes RMS detect even in very complex multi - signal environments. These monitors respond equally to all polarization's.

Radiall has just announced the release of their New Range of Lightning Protection products.  Their New R445...Series of 1/4 Wave Stub Lightning protection devices operate to a maximum 3.6 GHz frequency range and are available in your standard N and 7/16 connectors as well as miniature SMA's.  Radiall products offer as standard NonMagnetic BBR Plating ideal for use in the CDMA/GSM/DCS/PCS&WLL networks.

May 1999 -    Push-On Adapters from Radiall

 "Finally a manufacture who offers a helpful solution for testing" Radiall proudly introduces their new range of PUSH-ON connectors and adapters facilitating quick and easy mating with standard screw-on and bayonet connectors thanks to a NEW slide mating interface.

The PUSH-ON concept saves time and reduces wear and tear of regular connectors during testing. The PUSH-ON adapters retain the same electrical and mechanical properties of standard SMA, BNC, TNC, N and DIN 7/17 Screw-on or bayonet connectors and are designed for a longer life.

PUSH-ON connectors are either available with a PUSH-ON connection on one slide and a standard interface on the other connection to test equipment, or simply as a slide on connectors to be terminated to a dedicated PUSH-ON test cable.
 

May 1999 -    Dielectric Waveguide for Low Loss Applications   - CMT Technical Data Sheet (.PDF)

Continental Microwave & Tooling company - has just announced the introduction of Dielectric Waveguide into CMT's already extensive range of waveguide products.

Dielectric Waveguide is low in loss and is extremely phase stable particularly suitable for applications ranging from long length test runs to cryogenic test applications, MMW satellite interconnections as well as ground support equipment.  Dielectric Waveguide is also being used in SNA/VNA testing from 12.4 GHz to 110 GHz, and is used for Delay lines for radar cross section testing, Gimbals / Seeker  applications such as missiles, aircraft radar's and radio telescopes.  CMT currently is offering low loss assemblies in WR22, WR28, WR42 and WRD180 with other sizes being introduced in the near future.   For more information DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDE.

The KLD-SMT-0201L mini DC power jack is Kycon's most recent surface mount connector.  Its small size, gull wind contact design, and the tape and reel packaging make it an ideal choice for portable device applications requiring a surface mount power jack.  It has a built in DC on/off switch, screw machined contact center pin for high current capability and is available in 1.0 and 1.3mm inner pin diameters.  The current rating is 2.5 Amps, and the voltage rating is 24VDC   CSA/NRTL Certified File No:  L78160.

November 1998 - COAXI-KIT N & DIN7/16 Connectors

October 1998 - SMB "NEW" Locking System
 

Radiall proudly introduces their New SMB LOCK series (R-117 Prefix), locking SMB straight and right angle connectors to suit both flexible and semi-rigid coaxial cables.

Traditionally SMB connectors are a push pull connection system. This connector is not ideal for applications which experience vibration or accidental disconnection potential.

Radiall's innovative team of designers have developed a very simple and cost effective locking mechanism which allows you to push on the connector until it is in it's standard lock position, the black locking coupling nut is pushed forward to lock the connector into position until pushed back to release for disconnection.

October 1998 - PC7 Adapters from RADIALL
 

Radiall has just announced the introduction of their NEW PC7 adapter range.
The PC7 is Radiall's Precision Connector 7mm connector, traditionally used on microwave test equipment and some microwave components.

The PC7 has a 7mm, 50 ohm coaxial line and standard hermaphroditic coplanar mating face exhibiting excellent DC to 18 GHz performance.

Radiall's PC7 adaptor bodies feature a straight knurl for hand tightening and 6 flat coupling nuts (19mm) for recommended mating torque of 130n.cm to optimize microwave performance.

SMZ Series Type 43, 75 Ohm Connectors - RADIALL
 

Radiall has just released their SMZ type 43, 75 Ohm Connectors. The type 43 interconnect systems provides front or rear jumper cable management solutions for Digital Distribution Frames (DDF) which meet the requirements of traditional telecommunication network operators (eg: land based, mobile GSM & PCN).

These connectors feature main bodies which are of a single piece construction which allows for quick and simple termination to standard cables. Sockets feature a dimple latching mechanism which ensures against accidental disconnection by pulling on the cable or connector body. Standard U-Links are available designed to link adjacent pairs of connectors horizontally or vertically on DDF mounting blocks. U-Links with test ports are also available (signal level -30dB). Yig Oscillators
 

Omniying has recently added to their multi-octave miniature bipolar Yig Oscillators

Model YOM2440. This 1" x 0.6" x 1" ultra stable low noise yig oscillator was designed for drop in PB applications. The output RF is soldered or can be SMA connectorized. This unit tunes in the 2 to 5 GHz frequency range with an RF power output of typically +15dBm min, FM noise at 10KHz is 118dBc. Operating Temp range is 0 to +55 Deg C. The frequency stability over the frequency range including frequency drift and linearity is typically +/- 2 MHz (Max +/-4MHz). This unit can also be tuned to operate over the full -54to +85 Deg C temp range.

The YOM2440 unit can also be integrated with an analogue or 12 bit digital driver if requested.
